It is an interface to Argyll CMS Display Driver, which provides a dynamic, convenient GUI to address the display systems individually. It allows you to generate a color calibration profile for your display.
To establish a higher color accuracy, a test chart is displayed in the primary source executable. The target color values are shown in the GUI. The test chart can be easily changed by toggling the “Position” button. The chart is cleared when starting a new calibration or changing the type of calibration to be performed.

Welcome to Argyll CMS’ very first FREE PATCHWORK GUI!
DisplayCAL is a patchwork GUI that has been developed by the Argyll CMS, in conjunction with DisplaysU.
A new family of displaycalSWIS (DisplayCAL Standard Work Instructions for Simulations) files has been created to aid in the creation of calibrations. The main idea behind the new format is to allow the calibration to be portable to different systems and displays.
DisplayCAL takes a display calibration that has already been created using Argyll and feeds it to Simulations.
By using DisplayCAL, calibration will be created at the same time as the displays simulation that are being used. The two files are then stored and can be used at any time in the future to create new calibrations or compare and review calibrations from previous campaigns.
DisplayCAL is a great addition to the Argyll CMS, making it even more comprehensive and powerful, and allowing us to take calibrations to a higher level.
