Daniel Barclay became a teacher of English at the age of 16, and after 14 years in teaching English as a foreign language, has taught English as a foreign language at Leeds College of Music for the last 9 years. He is a member of the ELTE team, which offers experienced teachers to the UK and other parts of the world. He has written a number of materials for ELTE and also for the CEF, including: Media Cuttings for the Business Result series; CEF Tutor for the Business Result series; and the recent Business Results in Sports and Leisure series with Graham Cowlishaw, Paul Davies, and Rob Williams. Katie Cotterill is a teacher trainer, Academic Tutor and researcher specialising in all forms of English language teaching. She is based in Mid-Wales where she works as the ELT Coordinator for the University of Wales, Aberystwyth. Katie has a background in literature and languages from BA (Hons) and MA at the University of Oxford, as well as from a qualification in the History of Art at Birkbeck, University of London. In 2006, Katie became the first ever ELT Academic Tutor and the first ever researcher for Pro-Tutor at the University of Wales, Aberystwyth and she currently runs a weekly podcast series called New perspectives in ELT .

Anne Corbett is an ELT teacher of English as a foreign language in the UK and in Malaysia. She also writes for ELT journals, has a PhD from the University of Cambridge, and is on the EAP exam board. She has taught in Singapore, Italy, Switzerland, Kenya, South Africa and France, and has also taught in the UK for many years. After years of working in overseas teaching, she is now training to teach in the UK. She recently co-authored the New EAP ‘Advanced Materials’ with Maxx Newling from the CELTA Board (2013). Toby Chappell is a specialist international teacher of English as an additional language (TEFL). He has taught British and international students of all ages and abilities in London and Athens and worked as a pre-tourism teacher on a Spanish course for the US embassy in Madrid, Spain. With Ken Chappells he has been part of the team responsible for the most successful KETAC activities in the UK in London, Burnley, Nottingham, and Plymouth. The partnership between them and other editors of the KETACs, Ted Sulick and Janet Kavanagh, went on to plan TEFL for Years, their international course for years based on the KETACs. Toby also runs a number of TEFL-specific courses at the University of Derby and through SAND publishing, and has previously written a book on CELTA, Teaching English to International Learners (2002). He also writes regularly on the TEFL-L list about the latest developments in TEFL and about teaching and training in EAPT for Eastern European teaching practitioners. Ken Chappells involvement with English for Tourism began in 1995. He was an editor of the KETACs KTO course from 1995 to 2000, and founded the EAPT in 1998. Along with Toby Chappell and Megan Barker they created the TEFL for Years (KETAC) course and the second TEFL for Years course which Ken delivered as a CELTA trainer. In 2003 he was the Academic Director of the English Language Institute of Redlands, California where he lived in a tent while training a group of teachers, and the TEFL Co-ordinator at Glendale Community College, California. In 2004 he returned to UK to work at York St John University where he was Course Director for their International Curriculum for Academic Teachers (ICAT) in EAPT and worked on the training and evaluation of teachers. In 2007 he worked with the University of Derby to develop a partnership between US and UK universities teaching TEFL. He has been teaching professional development courses for KETAC and TEFL for Years at their International Conventions since 2007.
