Product Description
HOW TO MAKE A LOAF OF BREAD
1. Dissolve 1 package active dry yeast. Add 1 teaspoon salt, 1 1/2 tablespoons sugar, 1 tablespoon shortening, 1/2 cup milk and 3 cups all-purpose flour to it. Stir until everything is thoroughly combined. Begin adding more flour. Knead the dough for 7 minutes.
2. Place in a well-oiled bowl, and turn dough to coat. Cover with a damp cloth. Allow rising until doubled in bulk, about 1 hour.
3. Preheat oven to 375 F.
4. Form the dough into a loaf and place into Sweese’s 9×5 inch loaf pan. Score the risen dough by cutting three slashes across the top with a sharp knife.
5. Place it in the oven and bake for about 45 minutes or until golden brown. Cool, brush with butter and enjoy!
